Three marks that need redrawing

Three marks, all mine, all live right now. Handled is the parent. Batch and Phramed are products under it. I want them to read as related the way a record label and its imprints do: same hand, different records. Not three unrelated logos, not three versions of one logo.

The style section is the important part. Read it before you look at the brands.

The style

Vintage, elevated punk subculture

Old signage and tattoo flash, drawn properly. It should look like it came off a press in 1974 and like someone who knows what they are doing made it last week. Elevated is the operative word: the reference points are punk, skate and dive-bar, but the execution is tight. Clean curves, real kerning, considered color. Crusty DIY zine energy is the failure mode on one side, and sterile tech-startup minimalism is the failure mode on the other.

Vintage Americana

Hand-painted signs, motel and dive-bar merch, heritage outfitter labels. Condensed sans next to a loose script, distressed print, worn ink. See the Ruby Hotel sweatshirt and the Pine Hollow flat-lay in the references.

Punk and skate counterculture

Tattoo flash, board graphics, cartoon macabre. Skeletons, rubber-hose mascots, thick confident linework, a little bit mean. See the skateboard hands and the reaper badge.

Where they meet

The circular badge. Half my references are a roundel: text curved around the outside, an illustration in the middle, one or two colors flat. That format is doing a lot of work for me and I would look hard at it for at least one of the three brands.

Color

Warm base, one cold shock. Flat inks, not gradients. These are starting points pulled off my references, not a locked system.

Oxblood

#8A3324

The anchor. Already Handled's accent.

Amber

#DD962C

Gold leather, sign gilding, Batch's current color.

Burnt rust

#B4471C

The mottled texture ref.

Dark turquoise

#00CED1

The one cold color, and I picked it deliberately. Use it as a shock accent against the warms, not as a base.

Cream

#FFFBED

Paper. Type knocked out on any of the above.

Espresso

#1F1812

Near-black with warmth in it. Never pure #000.

The parent brand

Handled

Your business, Handled.

Handled current logo

A fractional AI exec for small businesses and agencies. I do the work myself, the scope is fixed, and what people are actually buying is relief: a plan they can defend and someone who is on it. Not software, not a lecture about AI.

Sells to
Agency and consulting owners, plus SMB owners who know they are behind on AI
Tone
Fun uncle who is also a professional. Peer, never vendor
Needs to work as
Favicon, avatar circle, sticker, email signature, and next to a mascot

On espresso

Drop and pre-order storefronts for local food makers, built and run by me. A baker posts a Friday drop, takes pre-orders, manages pickup slots and emails her list from one place. Sold hand to hand, not self-serve.

Sells to
Cottage bakers, pop-up and weekly-drop sellers, small restaurants in Greenville and the Upstate
Tone
Hand-lettered chalkboard outside a bakery, not a food-tech dashboard
Needs to work as
Browser tab, header on a phone, and printed on a sticker on a box

Client galleries and a shoot-day planner for photographers. Upload a session, send one link, the client browses and favorites and downloads. The planner runs the day. Name is photo plus framed, so the Ph earns its keep.

Sells to
Working portrait and wedding photographers who pay for tools and have strong visual taste
Tone
The one brand here that should not be cozy. Their clients see warm editorial galleries; the platform behind it reads sharper
Needs to work as
Standalone emblem, standalone wordmark, and a horizontal lockup
